PROF. E. N. GLISH'S ENGLISH, COOKED ANY STYLE

Did you know [Pp + (2S + V/M) + ct] is an English sentence? Or, [Pp +(S + V + Pp)+ (S + V/M + D)+ P] = another sentence? For example...the first...might read: Without a doubt, Sarah and Connie ran quickly. And for the second example, it could say: Inside the stale cookie, a tiny black ant hid from the hairy-fingered vagrant who fished the sweet morsel out of the smelly yellow dumptster. You can do this, too, with Prof. E. N. Glish's English, cooked any style!

HOW TO COOK ENGLISH

RECIPE for ENGLISH, COOKED ANY STYLE

Ingredients:

1 S (subject)
1 V (verb)
dash ct (complete thought)

Spice it up with:

1 or more Pp (prepositional phrase)
1 or more Av (adverbial)
1 or more Aj (adjectival)
1 or more (S+V) (dependent clause)
add a # increases the number of those ingrediants (2AvPp means you need two adverbial prepositional phrases, one after the other)

Here's a tasty tidbit (set out by colors):

[2Pp +(s+v) + ct] + (s+v) =

"Hello" from Prof. E. N. Glish

Welcome, all. This blog (short for web log) is for friends, family, Romans and countrymen. Enjoy the mixture of nonsense and revelations while cooking a favorite English dish. There is a little this and a dab of that and all of it makes cooking with English a funfilled adventure. So, come on and join the fun!

The news today is about a book, stumbled across last week. It nearly did my buddy, Mr. Book Worm, clean in--narrowly missing him when it landed on this blog. The name of the book? Oh, pardoname...it's entitled: The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. Yeah, it's a novel, but not the usual kind one would think a girl would get into. After all, not many girls like auto racing. I like it 'cause the syntax (that's sentences to you younga folks) truly elevates the heart and frees the soul. So, on yo' marx, get yurselfs set, 'n' GO! First gab fest is Chapta 1.
